PostHeaderIcon Roush Fenway rolls out Mustang for 2010 Nationwide Series

Who says there’s no innovation in NASCAR? Roush Fenway Racing has announced that beginning in 2010, Colin Braun will begin driving in the No. 16 Con-way Freight Mustang in the Nationwide Series. The Mustang’s arrival in the Nationwide Series was teased back in July, and the rollout will come in July 2010 at Daytona International Speedway.

Braun gets the plum assignment after winning the Raybestos Rookie of the Year in the 2008 Camping World Truck Series. Mustang, for its part, has more than 2,000 race wins worldwide, and you can check out some of the highlights over at Jalopnik.

And, since this is stock car racing, I look forward to being able to purchase this precise Mustang next July. That’s gonna look choice tooling down the highway in traffic.
